If you are ready to set up DNS to start your journey with Customerly and use email marketing, it can be achieved with different providers. In this article, we will talk about how to set up your DNS with Namecheap.

How do I add the domain to Customerly and verify it with Namecheap?
Check this article to see how to add your domain to Customerly. Then proceed with the following:

  • Then you will see the Domain verification pop-up.

  • Now you need to create a TXT Record.

  • Open your Namecheap dashboard and if you have already unverified domain added, click on "Manage".

  • You will be brought to the "Domain" page. Then go to "Advanced DNS".

  • Click on "Add new record".

  • Select TXT Record from the list.

  • Copy and paste the name of the host from the Customerly Domains page to the Host field in Namecheap.

Note: when you copy the host name and paste it into Namecheap, make sure you delete the dot at the end, otherwise it will not work.

  • And add the Value. Copy and paste it into the Value field in Namecheap.

  • Select its verification time and click on the green checkmark to confirm the setup.

  • Once done with all the previous steps, click on Continue" button to configure SPF Record in Customerly. You will see this:

    9. Then you need to configure another TXT record for the SPF in Namecheap.
Click on "Add New Record" and select "TXT Record" from the list, then copy and paste the following string which is "@" (look at the screenshot below) to the Host field in Namecheap.

  • Then copy and paste the string into the TXT value in Namecheap.

  • Select time. Click on a green checkmark to verify it.

  • Go back to Customerly. Then click on "Continue".

  • And if everything is set up properly, DNS will be verified.

Please note: it may take up to 24 hours to verify DNS.

Once all is done, wait for 24 hours and go back to the Domains settings to check your DNS if it has been verified.
