Once you create a new project and set up your live chat, all the new incoming messages will be assigned to the first person you created the project in your inbox automatically. To change this behavior, you need to assign the incoming conversations to a team shared with all your teammates.

Remember: when a conversation is started normally, it will be assigned automatically to the first teammate that created the project.

How do I assign the new incoming conversation to a different team shared with my teammates?

  • Go to the settings and click on "Smart rules".

  • You will see that all the new incoming messages go to the "Customer support" team.

  • To assign conversations to a new team or a teammate, click on the drop-down many and choose a team or a teammate. If you haven't created a new team yet, we highly recommend reading the article on how to create a new team.

  • Once you choose a team or a teammate, click on the "Save settings" button.
